Residents at Lavender Court enjoyed a relaxed and cheerful creative session this week as they decorated their own foam eggs for Easter.
With felt-tip pens in hand, everyone had the chance to choose their own colours, patterns and designs, and no two eggs were the same. From bright, bold styles to softer, more delicate decorations, each one reflected the personality and creativity of the resident who made it.
The photos capture some lovely moments from the session, including Cecily carefully decorating her egg with a yellow felt-tip pen, Mo adding yellow and blue details to her design, and Ruth and Wyn sharing a look at each other’s finished patterns. It was a wonderful opportunity not only for creative expression, but also for conversation, laughter and spending time together in a calm and welcoming setting.
Activities like this can play an important role in supporting wellbeing, offering residents the chance to relax, focus and enjoy meaningful engagement with others. There was a lovely sense of pride in the room as each design came to life, and it was clear that we have some very talented decorators here at Lavender Court.
The finished eggs are now looking beautiful and will make a lovely addition to our seasonal decorations around the home.
