It has been a wonderfully full and varied week at Lavender Court, with residents enjoying a range of activities that brought laughter, music, conversation and shared moments together.
The week included lively quizzes, complete with some very funny answers, as well as a visit from a live singer, with residents singing, clapping and swaying along to the music. One of the photographs shows Duane performing surrounded by residents, capturing the warm and upbeat atmosphere.
There were also lovely quieter moments woven throughout the week. Phil spent time outdoors enjoying the fresh air, flowers in bloom and simple treats including a coffee and a brownie. Photographs of Phil outside with his drink and snack, alongside close-up images of bright pink roses and red poppies, reflect the pleasure that can come from getting out and noticing the beauty of the season. These outings also sparked meaningful conversations and memories.
Back at the home, one resident proudly helped with teatime sandwiches, with a photograph showing her buttering bread in the kitchen. Residents also spent peaceful time watching the Chelsea Flower Show, sharing memories of gardens and childhood experiences.
The week also included a very special celebration as Ruth marked her 90th birthday. A lovely image shows Ruth sitting comfortably as she opens her cards and presents.
At Lavender Court, it has been a week full of companionship, engagement and those everyday moments that help make the home feel so welcoming.
